We believe anyone can be a leader. The question is whether they really understand what it will take. And when they do understand it, do they still want to be one?
Good leadership is about vision, communication, inspiration, flexibility and commitment. It is not about processes or operations.
To demonstrate the improvements our programme delivers, we start with a measure of how an individual rates against independent leadership competencies. We then design and implement a tailored training programme so that people can develop appropriately. At the end of the programme we measure against the same independent competencies and show the improvements.
Coaching & Coaching Training
Ever had the experience where someone has said something which has got you thinking, and suddenly you have taken a huge jump forwards in your life? In areas where this is crucial, like sport or sales, coaches are always used. These two things are related!
There is a difference between coaching, training, mentoring and managing. Each has its appropriate situation and particular value. Our aim is to not only offer you fully trained coaches, but also teach your managers and leaders to coach. It is your system - we help make it work for you in way which serves you best.
1. Providing coaches
We have a strong team of fully trained and experienced coaches. We offer specialist coaching on particular issues. And we bring consistency to larger programmes through use of our coaching model.
If you experience any of the following situations, we may well be able to help you:
- a defined development need, sometimes identified by appraisals or Personal Development Plans
- an experience of being 'stuck' or apprehensive around a particular issue
- a new role or job
- a team that needs to operate differently in an organisation in transition
- new to a leadership role
- a leadership role which would benefit from challenging external partnering and thinking
- a way of spotting and managing talent
- a method for (undertaking) succession planning
2. Coaching Training
Coaching is not simply very effective, it is very rewarding. To help you stay ahead of the game we offer training in coaching so managers can coach their own teams or others within the same organisation. We can support the training network or leave it do you.
Our programmes are designed to fit your organisation. Usually, training will be over three modules.
Module One: Essential Skills
Part A : Self awareness
Explores how the Coach impacts on the coaching relationship, picking up on preferences for styles of listening and responding, and how the Coach's own patterns get in the way of effective coaching.
Part B - Basic coaching practice.
This covers the coaching contract; the structure of language and how to understand the sub text in any dialogue; the coaching conversation, giving a structure for running a coaching session; and how to effectively design goals for people.
Module Two: Advanced Coaching Techniques
Here we move beyond the framework for coaching, to the graceful use of language-based techniques essential for facilitating change.
Options here include: techniques for working with habitual patterns; insights for enabling the Coach to access the way in which people experience their problems; getting success strategies and finding the processes people run in order to behave in a particular way; and ways of identifying and harnessing the motivations that drive us.
Module Three: Coaching and Organisations
We move on to designing solutions which are geared towards an organisation's overall health, well being and growth, based on material that has come out of the field of management theory and anthropology.
This includes tools for constructing teams that work; mediation and conflict resolution; identifying healthy and unhealthy systems; and internal and external communications.
Team events and Facilitation
We offer our own line of unique team events, all designed to meet the evolution of your team, no matter what the starting point!
And we will facilitate your important meetings which require objectivity and professionalism. If you want, we can also train your people in facilitation skills.
Toolkit trainings
We offer trainings such as how to run meetings, precision questioning, media interviews and presentation skills. These skills can be taught in a training setting or worked on individually through coaching, so you get the content with privacy and focussed support.
